New Assigned Date in Autodesk Usage Report

October 28th, 2024

Calendars are used to organize and measure the passage of time, with specific dates marked to indicate days, weeks, months, and years. They are essential tools for scheduling and planning events, and for tracking the flow of time.

Today, I am going to talk about a new data field, “Assigned Date” in the Autodesk Usage Report. Admins with single-user subscriptions or Flex can now view “Assigned Date” data directly in the Usage Report UI, in addition to the export and Premium reporting API. To view the Usage Report login to manage.autodesk.com and select Reporting > Usage Report

Viewing this data directly in the report interface helps admins make smarter licensing decisions by offering valuable context when reviewing usage patterns. To add ‘Assigned Date’ as a data column in your Usage Report, select Columns in the top right corner of the user list, and select Assigned Date.

For example, if a user appears to be inactive, it’s helpful to know how recently they were assigned before re-allocating their license or driving targeted adoption efforts.

The Usage Report shows the user’s most recently assigned date and, if applicable, the most recently unassigned date. If users receive assignments through multiple methods (such as direct and Group assignments), the export will display the first assignment date.

The next time that you are looking at the date on your calendar, remember that the new “assigned date” data is now available in the Usage Report in your Autodesk Account.
